My art is a constant exploration of the relationship between man and its history and becomes a spiritual and intimate journey and an essential necessity of my existence. I work with intuition and never following a formula striving to bring together the alchemy of materials, classical forms and the appearance of aging in all my paintings, from works on paper, to frescoes on boards, from florals to figurative, the process remains the same. Art is indeed an extension of my persona.

Nella was born, raised and educated in Italy in a family with a long heritage of visual artists, musicians and poets. She studied art history and foreign languages, she speaks five languages. She is a full time artist and resides in North Andover, MA. She holds a studio in the thriving art community of SOWA Boston as well as in her home in North Andover.
Nella is very active in the art communities and an avid volunteer of many organizations. She served two terms as the President of the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Association of Women Artists, NYC. She is a board member of the Rockport Art Association and Museum and the founder of the Experimental Group of RAA. The mission of the group is to foster, promote and encourage self expression by giving the opportunity to artists to come together, to explore and share ideas towards the creative freedom.
