Michael Eder paints emotional and expressionistic canvases. Inspiration comes from events in our society and our history, woven together with studies of the outdoors. “They relate to me in that they formed my American self, they formed my family and my history.” Subjects include Vietnam, Gettysburg, and the newest series on Native Americans, Niagara.
“You corpse I think you are good manure … I bequeath myself to the dirt to grow from the grass I love.” – Whitman
