The medium for my recent work is printmaking in which processes such as lithography and mono-print can be layered. Usually my inspiration comes from sketches done out of doors, which are then recomposed in the studio and combine both deep and shallow spaces. Lately, I’m drawing the effects of erosion in my “Dunes” series. For some, I begin with a lithograph drawing and then add color by layering inked stencils – a mono print process. Most recently, inspiration is not from my sketches, rather it comes from exploring a vivid palette and implying an ambiguous architectural space.
