I launched my jewelry career in 2005, after making jewelry as a hobby for 15 years, and have been so fortunate to have my studio in the South End of Boston for about ten years. I work primarily in sterling silver, bronze and copper, and love designing and creating jewelry that emphasizes the interplay between the organic and industrial nature of the metal with which I work. I also enjoy running my own business, combining my metalsmithing skills with business acumen forged during my MBA program and honed over the course of several years working in corporate and non-profit strategy. I enjoy the challenge of creating bold and unique, yet affordable jewelry for my diverse customers. Two of my pieces were featured in American Craft Magazine in March 2012, and perhaps my proudest jeweler moment was witnessing a pin I created being given as an award to Madeleine Albright in 2013.
I am available for studio visits most First Fridays (the first Friday of every month, from 5-9PM), during Art Walk (May) and Open Studios (September) weekends, and by appointment. I also participate in a number of craft shows outside the studio throughout the year. For more information, please visit my Facebook page: Amy Casher Designs.
